Today's announcement states that Angry Birds Star Wars II will launch "across app stores worldwide" which would seem to suggest that iOS, Android, Windows Phone 8 and Windows 8 versions will all be released on the same date, as was the case for the original Angry Birds Star Wars. Rovio says, " Placing these figures onto your phone or tablet camera will scan your character of choice directly into the game, allowing you to select new characters on the fly." The game will also support TELEPODS, a new collectable series of figures from Hasbro. Rovio added, "At this point we will not comment on rumors or speculation that Jar Jar Binks will be in the game."
